Health officials in Shandong say the patient is a 19-year-old man sumamed Lv. Last Friday, he arrived in Beijing on Flight AC-029 from Canada, where he had been studying at university. He had a fever and other symptoms, including a sore throat and headache two days later. On Monday evening, Lv took the D-41 train from Beijing, arriving in Jinan there hours later. He reported to the Jinan Center for Disease Control and Prevention, which immediately sent him to the city’s Infections Disease Hospital for treatment.
